I have a double standard

Today when I got out of my car and was heading to my apartment, one of two black guys started hitting on me (the other one was on the phone). I felt very complimented. I'm still smiling about it. It seems like they're the only ones brave enough to openly hit on me. In SC, I'm pretty comfortable with and think of being checked out as a compliment.

During my stay in Utah, however, when one of my friends pointed out that someone had checked me out, I got kind of mad. Utah is not a culture I want anywhere close to me

(I applied for re-admission anyway. At least this time around, I'll be forewarned and know the hazards and prepare in such a way that my homesickness won't beat me into the dirt like last go-round)

At least there are tons of people not from UT at BYU. I guess you'll have to surround yourself with some of them. Are you going to try and go out in the summer?

Earliest I can apply for is January 2011. I'll arrive in the throes of winter. It's gonna be interesting

Why not go to Carolina?

Good question. I don't really have that good of a reason. I have lots of friends in Utah. ...and some Army friends in Seattle, WA that I will probably want to visit
